Preparation;
I find it best to apply a basecoat before painting my nails, and a topcoat after. The basecoat stops the polish from staining your nails, and the topcoat will make it last longer and appear glossier. I use a Sally Hansen nail hardener as my basecoat, and an Essence topcoat.
Tutorial;
1. Paint all of your nails except your ring finger red. I love my new Wet N' Wild one, it's beautifully opaque and dries super quickly! Paint your ring finger two coats of your favorite white.
2. Using a cocktail stick or nail art brush, paint two large stripes of grey horizontally across the white. It doesn't have to be perfect, as the heart will cover most of it!
3. Taking the same red polish you used on the rest of your nails, carefully draw a red heart onto your nail.
4. After the heart has dried, apply some red glitter polish to the heart.
And you're done! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
What will you be doing this Valentines Day?
