I can't explain how much I love this polish! Yet another one of my freebies from the magazine. I've heard so much about the brand Essie but to be honest, up until now I'd never tried anything by them. I'm a schoolgirl on a budget ok!;p

So anyways, the brush itself is quite thick so only one slick of polish is needed for each nail. I only had to apply one coat- just one! It is so smooth and sleek and looks so shiny. Practically as good a minx nails, but half the price! I'm really impresed and definitely going to buy some more Essie polishes some time.

As you can see from the photo, I also applied some red dots in the corner, because frankly I was bored and wanted to shake things up a bit. The red is by NYC and I used a bobby pin to apply the polish, seeing as my dotting tools still hadn't arrived. (I have them now, woo!)

I was recently featured in Kiss Magazine, for the Your Space page [basically about my bedroom and photos of me and some of the item sin my room, etc] and they misspelled my name! Well, they actually wrote my mother's name instead of mine ;p So as I've mentioned before, I was back at Kiss HQ on Thursday for a second photoshoot for the Reader Style Crush page, and they apologized for the name misprint. I was given 9 free nail polishes to make up for it!

I decided to try out one of them - NYC Expert Colour in the shade Boundless Berry;
Its a really shiny, deep colour and really popular this season. It was a bit opaque however, so 2 coats were essential.

I then thought, why not use ANOTHER one of my new polishes? This time, I added two coats of Essence Nail Art Special Effect Topper in the shade 08 night in vegas. I love it! It changes colour in the light and looks like little specks of gold.

Enjoy!

Today was quite a cold day. A slight but spine-chilling breeze blew throughout the day. Although it was sunny, it was definitely a day for covering up! I bought this beanie a week ago, and hadn't had a chance to wear it yet, so I was delighted to get a wear out of it today! The jumper was on sale in Penneys, and of course my trusty creepers were there to set off my outfit.

PS. I k ow my image quality is TERRIBLE... I take my photos with my iPod Touch. I'm asking for a proper camera with lens for Christmas, so fingers crossed!

Hope you like it :)

Ah the winged, flicked [whatever you want to call it] eyeliner. One of my all time favorite looks, and actually easier than you think. Worn frequently by the likes of Lauren Conrad [as seen above] and many other celebrities, this timeless trend is quick, easy and looks great once you get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect after all!

Some say that this 'trend' originated from Cleopatra herself, who used charcoal to create the flick at the end. There are many ways you can get this look, and with so many products on the market, it is easy to get confused. Below I will explain the use of each product best used to create this look to help you get the best out of your money and so you can use your chosen eyeliner to its potential.

1. Liquid eyeliner; From my experience [which isn't alot reaaally] liquid eyeliner requires quite a steady hand. Best lean on something while applying, and perhaps buy waterproof as it can come off quite easily.

2. Gel eyeliner; This is something I've always wanted to try, but never have. Gel eyeliner is typically more expensive than the others, but from what I've heard is very long-lasting and bold.

3. Pen [liquid, felt tip] eyeliner; My favorite out of the 3! I loooooove my felt tip eyeliner. Its really easy to apply, as its just like using a marker/felt tip pen on your eye, and can be quite cheap too. My only negativity is that I can never find one that last for a long time, and I'm really prone to rubbing my eyes throughout the day, unfortunately.

Get the look;

  1. Grab your chosen product.
  2. Start off in the inner corner of your eye and drag the brush/pen along the eye, staying as close to the lashline as possible.
  3. When you get to the outer corner, draw a small line/flick in the direction of the outer part of your eyebrow.
  4. Voile! Your done! Just repeat on the other eye and try [your best] to make them match.

One of the most anticipated fashion shows of the year, the Victoria's Secret fashion Show took place in New York during the week. With gorgeous models, some of the biggest celebrities performing and AMAZING [although maybe provocative] costumes and lingerie, it is definitely on my 'to see' list!

Victoria's Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio wore the famed Fantasy Bra- one that changes each year. This year's gem was worth a shocking $2.5 million! It was designed by London jewelers, and had a 20 carat white diamond centerpiece.

Alessandra was joined by fellow Angels Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Karlie Kloss and Candice Swanepoel. Performing on the night were Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber and Rihanna to name a few.

What can I say? I love the glitz and glamour, the wings, the feathers, the jewels, the models, the stage.. everything! One of my personal favorites of the night was Miranda Kerr in her first piece. The white feathers and black lace detail are really something. I also like the diamond centerpiece! Of course, it's not something I can imagine anyone would actually WEAR but that's what this is all about really I guess. Fantasizing over something you can't afford/wear/have *sigh*

I was just searching around the internet, as usual, when I came across an AMAZING website with lots of cute layouts and extras for blogs - Shabby Blogs. Don't be fooled by the name, this website has everything you could possible need for your blog! Plus everything is super kitsch and vintage, too. I know I'm definitely going to be using this site a lot! I'm useless at Photoshop and HTMLs ;p

So, as you can see, my blog has had a makeover. Now she looks fabby indeed.

It's time for a blog makeover!

So today I went to a photoshoot for Kiss magazine! I was so excited, because it was for the Reader Style Page and the fact that people like my style is amazing! The girls in the office were so nice, it really gave me confirmation that journalism is the road I want to go down.

Anyways, after that me and my mum hung around town, and I had this delicous white hot chocolate- yes white! I think Lana Del Rey should have sang "heaven is a place on earth with FOOD (instead of you ;p )

I also got my photograph taken with an Abercrombie model *swoon*. He doesn't know it yet, but we're secretly (mentally) dating xo

I thought of this idea while cleaning out my room today. I had so many long necklaces just lying around, collecting dust on a shelf, because they wouldn't fit on my jewelry stand- and bam! The idea came to me.

What you'll need;
* a pinboard
* pins
* necklaces

Simply pin the necklaces to the board! If they are super long and wont fit on the board, I just folded the chain in half and put the pin through two of the chain links. Its best to have the board portrait/vertical for maximum length. You could decorate it too, by filling up empty spaces with glue on flowers or stickers, which is what I SHOULD of done seeing as this pinboard was old and had doodles on it ;p

Happy pinning!
