lavish alice

Hey everyone, After a long week visiting my sister in hospital, it was a nice surprise to receive an email from Lavish Alice* asking if I would like to review an item from their website. I chose this quirky eye printed jumpsuit, as I'd been wanting to try a jumpsuit out for ages, and I knew it would serve me well at the music festival Longitude- and so it did! Their delivery was incredibly fast, and I'm highly impressed with the quality of the material. I also thought it was super cute how the label said 'try me', like on the magic cake in Alive In Wonderland-such a nice little touch!
Longitude was a pretty amazing experience, I can tell you that much! My friends and I were lucky enough to be on the guestlist, so I got to hang out with Haim again and also bumped into Matt Healy from The 1975. Twice. It was my first time at a music festival, and I can definitely see the attraction now! Although I only went for a day, I plan to go to a lot more festivals next year. Este, Haim's epic bass player, complimented my jumpsuit too and asked me where I got it, which I'm sure Lavish Alice* will be delighted to hear!

Hey everyone,
Apologies for the quietness here lately at Oh Hey There Rachel, this week has been particularly busy! From essays to mother's day and then a Divergent filled weekend [a fan event and a preview screening of the movie- it's AMAZING!] I've been up to my eyes with work.
If you don't know, I'm a bit of a nerd in all honesty, and the Divergent trilogy is one of my favorites out there. You might remember how I met the author last November [if not, read about it here], so when I heard a local bookshop was hosting a fan event on Saturday I was first to sign up. The prize was tickets to see Divergent [yesterday], and wow, it definitely lived up to my expectations. The movie remained true to the book throughout and the cast were amazing. I'd highly recommend you read the book before seeing the movie, when it hits Irish theaters this Friday.
I picked up these Zara cigarette style trousers for €3 in Siopaella a few weeks ago, but I'd been waiting for the right time to wear them. They just scream elegance to me! I paired it with a classy peplum top and black wedges.

Hey everyone!

I wore this outfit last Saturday going out for dinner, and figured it was a great opportunity to dress up a little! I had yet to wear the skirt- bought for €4 at a Siopaella sale. I felt quite grown up in the outfit, and it's definitely something I'll be wearing again. Let me know what you think!
