Just a quick update to let you guys know that my first ever Youtube video is now live! I was pretty nervous about it but the feedback about it so far has been amazing- thank you all! I decided to start out with the 'TMI Tag' just to help people get to know me a bit better. If you have any video ideas you'd like to see me create, let me know! Don't forget to like/comment/subscribe (all the Youtubers say that, so I've clearly gotten the swing of things already eh?)

In other news.. I'm heading to Lisbon on Monday which I'm super excited about, as it's my first time in Portugal. I've been pretty busy lately with my styling internship, but I've been updating my Instagram daily- check it out here!

Hey everyone,

Yesterday I attended Sam & Nic from Pixiwoo's meet and greet- it was so much fun! The girls are just as beautiful in person as they are on screen, and super easy to talk to too. It was surreal to meet two of my favourite beauty youtubers, whom I've been watching for ages! My friend Lisa from Grab Life By The Blog [check out her blog, it's only new - please!] took these shots for me. There are some gorgeous locations in Dublin City Centre, and Temple bar is a favourite of mine. It will always be one of my most loved cities, without doubt.

This is the first outfit I've worn this month that has truly made it feel like Autumn is approaching. Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons, only because of the fashion! There's just something about A/W clothes that set my heart racing with excitement. 

I was really inspired by Tara from tarmartales.com & Kildare Village's video for their #DayTripToChic campaign. The campaign video was based in Dublin & Kildare- the two counties I base myself between! It's all about finding a secret escape from the busy Summer life. For my first entry, I chose Temple Bar as it's my favourite area for vintage shopping, rather than the big shopping centres! You can check out their campaign video here:

OOTD- Summer In The City

Hey everyone,

Yesterday I attended Sam & Nic from Pixiwoo's meet and greet- it was so much fun! The girls are just as beautiful in person as they are on screen, and super easy to talk to too. It was surreal to meet two of my favourite beauty youtubers, whom I've been watching for ages! Hey everyone,
Admit it- we've all been there. I pretty sure I can speak for the majority of the female population when I say that there's always that one pesky spot that arrives just when you least need it. I tend to get a lot of spots around my mouth and chin area, which is extremely annoying! I know a lot of teenagers suffer from acne, so when I heard about Dream Dots* I was delighted to give them a try.
Dream Dots* are little circles that you apply to your spots overnight for 8-10 hours. That means it doesn't interrupt your makeup routine during the day! They were designed by beauty therapist Donna Ledwidge. All you do is clean the area, apply the little patch and wait to see the results the next morning!
I must say, I was really impressed with these. Although I can't say that they make the spot completely disappear after one night, they definitely reduce the size and redness of the spot. They're also pretty easy to apply, and completely unnoticeable once on the skin! If you're the kind of person that only gets one or two spots, then this product is definitely for you. That said, if you tend to get quite a few like me, it could be pricey in the long run. For €15 you get 24 patches- and it took me 3 patches & 3 nights to completely get rid of one spot. I've almost used up the entire box already, and it's only been about 3 weeks! 
What I like best about Dream Dots* are that they're an overnight solution. I hate waiting ages for spot cream to dry in the morning! Whilst having a makeup free day recently, I wore one during the day and no-one in my family noticed, so that's always a plus!

As the weather gets gradually worse, I'm beginning to accept that the warm days of Summer are coming to an end. It was only when I had my clothes on did I realise I was dressed quite like John Bender, with the shirt and oversized denim jacket- hence the title of this post! (go watch The Breakfast Club. ASAP). I picked up this pretty little blouse in a local boutique for only €5, and I love it. I've found a new appreciation for fashion from the late 80's/early 90's recently. Double denim mighn't be a favourite of everyone's- heck I don't even know if it works for me, but I would like to believe it does. I've spent a lot of my Summer watching 80's & 90's movies like Clueless, The Breakfast Club and Pretty In Pink. There's something so cheesy yet exciting about them!

Hey everyone,

It's been a long time since I created a nail art tutorial (check out more here)! Ombré/gradient nails are quite popular and I often get asked how to do them my friends. Hopefully this step by step tutorial is easy enough to follow! There are many ways to create this look, however this is the method I favour. If you have any nail art looks you'd like me to create then leave your suggestions below as I'm always looking for new ideas.

You will need;
-white nail polish
-two shades of polish for the ombré
-a sponge (I use the yellow sponge part of a cleaning pad!)

Tutorial;
1. Paint your nails with white polish first as a base. This makes the gradient colours look a lot brighter! I used one by Sinful Colours.

2. On a sheet of paper, place your two chosen colours side by side. You dont need to mix them if you don't want to, as when you sponge it onto your nail you can overlay it yourself. Dip a flat piece of sponge into the polish. I chose a pink polish by Collection and a pastel blue one by NYC.

3. Place the sponge on your nail and lightly dab it on until the nail is covered.

4. Apply a top coat so it looks shiny and smooth. Using a cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover, clean up around the edges (as you can see, something I'm not very good at).
And there you have it! It's really not as hard as people think it is, in my opinion.

Hey everyone,

July has been quite a long winded month, but I still feel strange welcoming August into my life. August usually means that the Summer is coming to an end and that I need to start buying school supplies ASAP before all the good school bags are gone.. happens every year! July has been quite a dull month beauty wise, as I haven't really been buying much makeup lately. I need some new revolutionary product to come into my life! I've read a good few books and discovered new music artists galore, so I've scraped together my July favourites to share with you all.

Beauty:
♥ Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette- One product I've been using religiously over the past few months in the renowned Naked palette. I know, I know- this palette is plastered over the majority of beauty blogs out there, which is why I've held off mentioning it for a while now! That said, it's definitely worth the hype in my eyes. I love using 'virgin' as a highlighter too.

♥ No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream- I'd been on the hunt for a new moisturiser for a while, and randomly decided to buy this pot of joy with a No7 voucher I had. I'm a big No7 fan- the products aren't too pricey, but work wonders for my skin. It's quite light but also leaves the skin slightly matte which is perfect for my combination skin. 

♥ Oriflame Volume Blast mascara*- I was given this to try out at an event, so I've been testing it over the past month. In all honesty, I don't agree that it makes my lashes very voluminous at all- but it certainly lengthens them! I particularly like using this on my bottom lashes, because I like thick top lashes but spidery bottom ones. 

♥ Catrice Smokey Eyes pencil- I've had this eyeliner for quite some time now, but I've only rediscovered my love for it this month! I really like the grunge-y, messy smokey eye trend that's been doing the works lately, and this pencil is perfectly smudgeable. 


Book Of The Month:
July's book of the month is Lola And The Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins. I absolutely adored this book! I read Stephanie's first book, Anna And The French Kiss last year and it's honestly one of the best books I've read. Although I still prefer Anna, Lola And The Boy Next Door still blew me away. Stephanie's brilliant style of writing mixed with her loveable characters makes a truly good book. The books are slightly interlinked, but you can read them in any order, if you want. This book is about a costume loving teen called Lola as she battles a choice between her rockstar boyfriend and her quirky neighbour next door. That's all I'm going to say!  I can't wait for Isla And The Happily Ever After now. 

Album Of The Month:
I first discovered Glasgow-born band Honeyblood on Twitter, and their album highly impressed me. They remind me of The Runaways with a bit of First Aid Kit and Haim- a perfect combination for the ears, if I do say so myself! Their debut self-titled album has been on repeat on Spotify for me since it was released. Do, give them a listen!

July Favourites 2014

Hey everyone,

July has been quite a long winded month, but I still feel strange welcoming August into my life. August usually means that the Summer is coming to an end and that I need to start buying school supplies ASAP before all the good school bags are gone.. happens every year! July has been quite a dull month beauty wise, as I haven't really been buying much makeup lately. I need some new revolutionary product to come into my life! I've read a good few books and discovered new music artists galore, so I've scraped together my July favourites to share with you all.

Beauty:
