Hey everyone :) if there is an everyone.. Hmm. Below is what I was wearing today. My outfit consists of aztec leggings (which, yes, I did buy inthe childrens section) and a printed top. Who says you can't wear two prints at once? As long as they balance out evenly it should be ok. My sandals are gold gladiators which are my best friends in the summer! They're so comfortable omg.

And my nails.. Don't get me started on this shade. My mother came home with it yesterday and I was so happy. Its Sally Henson in Pomegrante and the brush only requires one stroke! I applied two coats but one coat would of been fine too.

And lastly, the picture below really made me laugh. Seriously its just so hilarious omg. Excuse me while I wet myself again!!

Bye!

My exams start tomorrow, my dance exam is this weekend and Im off to Spain on the 1st of June. Then I'm going to the Gaeltacht until July 1st so yeah.. Busy busy me!

I will, however, continue to make posts on what I'm wearing in Spain and maybe even check out some Espanola streetstyle (:

For now, I leave you with some photos of my gorgeous dog Misty and some photography I took when walking.

A major trend I've seen lately on the catwalk is the 'ocean' theme. Light blue, shimmering seaquins (see what I dd there ;D ) and fishy prints. It can be quite hard to pull off. You wouldn't want to go out looking like an octopus or something! (by all means, be an octopus if you must). Is it a trend you'll be trying out soon? Take a look at some examples from the runway and some highstreet items and you can decide if you'll be swimming in your clothes anytime soon.

Runway;

These are just a selection of some I found attractive. You can view more at style.com . I love how Givenchy have almost replicated a silver fish's scales, its stunning. Surprisingly enough, I have taken quite a liking to Issa's maxi dress too. I've never dared wear a maxi as I'm only 5"3 but maybe I will someday. Anyways, I think its amazing how such a bold print can almost look.. normal! Mary Katranzou's dress has such a gorgeous shape too, its very out there but I personally love it.

Highstreet;

So will this be a trend I'll be trying out soon? Probably not. Frankly, its very hard to get a decent fishy find in any of the stores near me. But If I could, I would.

Toodles :)

'Its a well known fact that the colour of your clothes can represent how you're feeling. Blue represents sadness or feeling calm, yellow is mellow..' etc etc.

How can I disagree more? Today my outfit is entirely blue, but I am NOT sad or calm. In fact I'm relatively happy and quite hyper. If purple is the colour of royalty, does that make me feel like a queen? No. Unless there is a survey out there stating that people have been lucky wearing green and feel angry whenever they wear red then I see no point in this statement whatsoever.

ANYWAYS the title does say 'what I'm wearing today' so as you can see from my outfit I do like the colour blue. Its my cousins communion today and we're just attending the afters, so I decided to dress it up-down. Its not hot so no sun dresses for me. Its not cold either though, so I do think my outfit is quite suitable. The braid across my head is so simple by the way! I'll post a tutorial if I get the chance, but really I just got inspiration from thebeautydepartment.com , and my nails are a bright cobalt blue with the finger beside my pinky (can't remember its name and too lazy to google it) a sparkly, glittery blue. I added a pair of pearl earrings before I left, simply to show grattitude as I was given them for my birthday by my aunt and uncle. Sigh. I also threw on a navy boyfriend cardigan as the weather in Ireland is sooo undependable.

Bye for now chicas.

Yes this is probably another one of them boring introductory posts that every blog has, but how else are you going to understand this blog's purpose?

My name is Rachel (if you haven't firgured that out by now) and I'm 14. This blog is basically an insight into my life and my personal opinion on strange but wonderful things, such as why I like the colour blue, what I think of brogues, what I'm wearing today and tutorials you probably don't care about on how to replicate my nail art.

Why am I making this blog you ask? (maybe not). Because I am an aspiring journalist and I believe that maybe this is a starting point to the rest of my lfe.

Thanks for reading, later alligators
