 Hey everyone,

Bora Aksu was the only Somerset House show I attended during my trip to LFW, and it didn't disappoint! I loved Bora's previous collection so I had high hopes for Autumn/Winter. I had a brilliant view from where I was standing thankfully, but silly me forgot to check my camera settings before the show started, which led to me fumbling about with the settings just before it started!

The Bora Aksu A/W15 show was a pastel wonderland from start to finish. Opulent lace, pretty bow blouses and flowing material graced the runway this season. In all honesty, it really got me in the mood for Spring, even though it was an Autumn-Winter show. I absolutely adored the floral appliqué and the soft, dusty colours. There was something so romantic, so ethereal about this collection, and I was in awe watching the models strut down the runway. The show was closed by the fabulous (and Irish) presenter Laura Whitmore, which although was a bit surprising, was actually very refreshing to see too. One of my favourite looks was the lilac and pink dress below!

What do you think of the new collection?

Hey everyone,

On Thursday when I flew into London I headed to the Boohoo Bloggers' Gifting Lounge to choose an outfit for fashion week. Naturally, I chose something quite monochrome, but I decided to step out of my comfort zone by wearing a bright fuschia jacket! I'm absolutely in love with it, it's such a versatile piece that I know I will wear time and time again. The chunky black heels were surprisingly easy enough to walk in, despite the huge platform! Mixing different grid patterns is a trend I've been loving lately, and fashion week was the perfect oppurtunity for me to just try something new.

 Hey everyone,

Wow, what a weekend it's been! I flew home from London last night, and I'm utterly exhausted. I've spent the whole of today answering emails and editing photos, so it's been good to relax and catch up. It was my first time attending London Fashion Week, and it was honestly one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The style was (naturally) out of this world. I received 16 invites for the 2 days I was there, but only attended 2- 5 of them I wouldn't even be in London for, many were on at the same time and also because of how cold it was! In the end I ended up choosing Bora Aksu as it was my only Somerset House show on Friday, and Apu Jan with Fashion Scout at Freemasons' Hall on Saturday, which I'll be posting about over the next few days.

It was such a surreal experience overall. Even when I planned the trip, I didn't expect countless photographers coming up to me to take my picture. At one stage, I was walking around with my mam and a photographer was frantically snapping my outfit as I walked, chasing my heels from behind. It was scarily wonderful and I really hope there will be many more seasons to come. Although I was only there for the first two days, I did capture some amazing street style shots, and bumped into a few celebs! (I practically tripped over Ashley Roberts from The Pussycat Dolls and mum bumped into Proudlock from Made In Chelsea coming out of the toilet.. fun times).

Hey everyone,

Exams are finally over, which means I'm finally free for a week! I have been waiting for this week for so long, not only because of the lack of school, but also because of my upcoming trip to London. Myself and my mam had been planning to go over as a sort of post-mocks/birthday present (I turned 17 on Saturday FYI), and London Fashion Week just happened to be on at the same time. I applied for a tonne of invites, expecting to receive none, and all of a sudden my 3 day trip is set to be a whirlwind weekend! I almost have to pinch myself when I think about it. It's been my dream to go since forever, and I still can't believe I'm actually going. I have yet to decide what shows I'm heading to, as we're trying to fit in some tourist-y bits too, but it's set to be a good weekend without doubt/

I'm going to be posting about the shows I've been to, the clothes I'm wearing and the street style, but I thought I'd start off my LFW series with a wishlist. I'm only going to be there for the first two days of fashion week, but I'm also heading to a pre-LFW party. I've been trying to piece together some outfits in my head and it's proving to be a hard choice, so I decided to put together a wishlist of things I'd love to be wearing on the streets of London this season.

If it's not pretty clear from the collage above- I absolutely adore faux fur. I've been lusting after a fluffy bag and shoes for ages now. They're so Clueless inspired, and remind me of this post I wrote last year. I already own a black faux fur coat but this houndstooth printed one is so different and beautiful. Something quite basic that I've been longing for is a pair of boyfriend jeans. I'm not really a big jeans wearer, but I love my mom jeans, and a pair of ripped boyfriend ones are the next ones on my list. A new pair of sunglasses is a must have for that pesky sun that's trying to break through these awful February skies, and these Prada ones are beautifully out of my price range... I'm also in need of a new fedora hat like this one from H&M. Lastly, a 70s-esque suede tan skirt and a strawberry clutch bag are also something I'd love to wear- and that New Look clutch is adorable!

What have you been lusting after this month?

 Hey everyone,

When one of my favourite Irish designers, Alice Halliday, got in touch with a proposal for a Valentines Day themed collaboration, I was 100% up for it. Not only is my birthday on Valentines Day, but Alice is a designer that I've been following on Instagram since forever. I actually discovered her work through one of my favourite artists Florence Welch (of Florence + the Machine) who wore one of Alice's capes a while back. Since then, her ethical and ethereal pieces have been featured in many publications, and are stocked in both Ireland & the UK (stockists below!), not to mention online

The end result was a sort of Alice In Wonderland themed photoshoot, shot at my one of favourite places. The eerie fog and background void of many people really added to the mythical look I was going for! Although I evidently have my own sense of personal style, I absolutely love putting themed shoots together. I don't have a professional photographer, and I'm not a model- but that doesn't make styling photo shoots impossible. Just grab a friend (or a younger sister in my case!), put on some pretty clothes based around a certain theme, and voila!

Scarf top*- c/o Alice Halliday (all prints are one of a kind, available here)
Clutch- my mum!
Necklace*- c/o Eleanor Hall Jewellery

Alice's pieces are stocked here:
Atelier 27, 27 Drury St. Dublin
Isobella Ru, 20 Drawbridge St. Cork
Wall & Jones, 340 Hackney Road, London
... and she also takes custom orders via her Etsy page here.

 Hey everyone,

It's been ages since my last beauty product review- I know! To be completely honest, I'd gone off beauty blogging completely. All the posts I'd been reading were the same, and writing about makeup was actually starting to bore me. Not only that, but I hadn't bought any new products in a while, so nothing was making me excited. However in the last few weeks I've been watching countless makeup tutorials and videos, so I was inspired to write a beauty post again- woo! For a while my blog was almost exactly half beauty, half fashion, and really, it took me a while to find my 'niche'. I now know that fashion is where my heart lies, but I can definitely see the odd beauty post making an appearance here every now and then. Just not as much as this time last year!

The NYX Bronzer & Blusher Combos* have become a staple item in my (weekend) makeup routine in the past few months. First of all, the packaging is super pretty and compact, making it perfect for bringing it around on the go. I have two different shades, and I honestly love them both- Sunrise In Bali and Marbella. These little gems are extremely pigmented, which is one of my favourite things about NYX products. For just €10.99, you get two high quality products in one little compact! Not only that, but they have great lasting power, and there are 5 shades to choose from. The bronzer in Sunrise In Bali is slightly too dark for my skin tone, but looks beautiful when applied with a light hand. The blusher reminds me a little bit of Nars Orgasm, just half the price! Marbella is brilliant for every day wear as it's alot lighter.

Hey everyone,

My mock exams are in three days but I figured it was ok to take a break and upload these outfit pictures! I recently downloaded a free trial of Photoshop and I'm still getting to grips with it- but wow, I love it! I was recently set this beautiful scarf from Mooncats*- a website that stocks a wide range of luxurious scarves, hats and gloves. I'll admit, I rarely ever wear yellow, but there was something about the contrast between the yellow and the light blue that pulled me in. It's the perfect scarf for Spring, as it's quite light but great for those days that are still a bit chilly. I'm so impressed with the quality too, especially at the reasonable price! I paired it with an electric blue blazer and matching heels (that I may have borrowed from my mum's wardrobe... again).
