Merry (belated) Christmas and a happy new year everyone! Hopefully 2013 will be a good one. I went to see a ballet last wednesday, The Nutcracker, with my mam. I dance myself, although not ballet (I used to, now I do technical jazz ad hiphop, but Ive done irish, modern theatre, ballroom & latin too). It was AMAZING! I have wanted to see a ballet for SO long now, so I was delighted to go. Everything was fab- the dancers, the dancing, the costumes, the music. It was just so magical and really took me back to my childhood days. Now I wish I was a ballerina myself!

ANYWAYS back to the outfit. I also wore this outfit Christmas day. The clutch I borrowed from my mam (I thought it was very vintage) and the rest of my outfit is a mixture of Penneys and Catch.

Enjoy!

Hey everyone!

I decided to pop into Lush in Dublin last week during my visit to town. I had read so many reviews on the products and have wanted to try some out for ages!

As soon as I stepped into the shop, a sweet aroma of flowers filled the room. The walls were colourful, with endless shelves of bathbombs and other bath and shower necessities. It took me a while to choose a bathbomb, but in the end I chose a pink one decorated with little flowers on top.

After paying, I was given a bag to put it in, and it was much bigger than the product itself, but i looked fab! The girl also threw in a Lush magazine, which I thought was really cool because it was printed like a newspaper.

The bathbomb itself fizzed immediately in the bath, and it too smelt delicous. It turned the water bright pink, and made my skin feel really soft.

I was so impressed with my product (however small) and I know I'll definitely be shopping there again soon! Perfect (and cheap) for christmas gifts for friends or family.

Hey everyone!

Currently posting from the train.. Yes Iarnrod Eireann has free wifi now! Its crazy how modern technology is improving.

Why am I on the train? Well, I'm on my way to the ONLY exclusive launch in Dublin tonight! I won two passes off the wonderful Leanne Woodfull (from thunderandthreads.blogspot.ie). She is one of my favorite bloggers so it was definitely an honour to win them from her.

I decided to paint my nails like this, as they are inspire by Lana Del Rey on the cover of Vogue UK a few months ago- and I LOVE Lana Del Rey. I have done them before with red tips but thought I'd try plum this time instead. The plum nail varnish, for the tips, is the Berry nail varnish I posted about a while ago- the shiny, pearl-pink underneath is by Sally Hensen, and the silver stripes were made with a glittery, silver nail art pen by Kiss.

I'll post about the launch when I get home! So excited ;p

I'm late again to post I know, but I was sick the last few days and was unable to post unfortunately!

I went to see a pantomime on Sunday in town and really enjoyed it- especially since my stageschool were performing it! It was great craic and the atmosphere was brilliant. I wore my new coat (whch I love SO SO much!) which I got in Penneys for only €15 down from €31! But of course no-one else has to know that ;)

I also wore a pair of heeled knee high boots which aren't in the picture but Ill try post a picture of another time.

Enjoy!

Hey everyone! Long time no post (well- a week)

So me and and mam decided to take an unscheduled trip up to Tesco Extra the other day, and there were some great special offers! We also got a head start on some gift buying (only 25 days guys!!) for dad and my sister, Sarah as there were amazing gift sets there! I spent literally ages deciding, there were so many different things to choose from.

ANYWAYS, back to what I bought. I ha been wanting to dye my hair (again, might I add) mahogony (again) for ageeees, so I decided to buy the same brand as last time, but with two boxes instead - my hair is immensely thick and doesn't take colour well.
I decided it was time to get back into my skinfare regime (yes, I had let myself go, Im sorry!) and I needed new moisturiser anyways, so Nivea was what I chose- I'm forever on a budget!
Lastly, I also bought some dry shampoo on sale- perfect for when I'm in a rush, especially on school days..

I can't explain how much I love this polish! Yet another one of my freebies from the magazine. I've heard so much about the brand Essie but to be honest, up until now I'd never tried anything by them. I'm a schoolgirl on a budget ok!;p

So anyways, the brush itself is quite thick so only one slick of polish is needed for each nail. I only had to apply one coat- just one! It is so smooth and sleek and looks so shiny. Practically as good a minx nails, but half the price! I'm really impresed and definitely going to buy some more Essie polishes some time.

As you can see from the photo, I also applied some red dots in the corner, because frankly I was bored and wanted to shake things up a bit. The red is by NYC and I used a bobby pin to apply the polish, seeing as my dotting tools still hadn't arrived. (I have them now, woo!)

I was recently featured in Kiss Magazine, for the Your Space page [basically about my bedroom and photos of me and some of the item sin my room, etc] and they misspelled my name! Well, they actually wrote my mother's name instead of mine ;p So as I've mentioned before, I was back at Kiss HQ on Thursday for a second photoshoot for the Reader Style Crush page, and they apologized for the name misprint. I was given 9 free nail polishes to make up for it!

I decided to try out one of them - NYC Expert Colour in the shade Boundless Berry;
Its a really shiny, deep colour and really popular this season. It was a bit opaque however, so 2 coats were essential.

I then thought, why not use ANOTHER one of my new polishes? This time, I added two coats of Essence Nail Art Special Effect Topper in the shade 08 night in vegas. I love it! It changes colour in the light and looks like little specks of gold.

Enjoy!

Today was quite a cold day. A slight but spine-chilling breeze blew throughout the day. Although it was sunny, it was definitely a day for covering up! I bought this beanie a week ago, and hadn't had a chance to wear it yet, so I was delighted to get a wear out of it today! The jumper was on sale in Penneys, and of course my trusty creepers were there to set off my outfit.

PS. I k ow my image quality is TERRIBLE... I take my photos with my iPod Touch. I'm asking for a proper camera with lens for Christmas, so fingers crossed!

Hope you like it :)

Ah the winged, flicked [whatever you want to call it] eyeliner. One of my all time favorite looks, and actually easier than you think. Worn frequently by the likes of Lauren Conrad [as seen above] and many other celebrities, this timeless trend is quick, easy and looks great once you get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect after all!

Some say that this 'trend' originated from Cleopatra herself, who used charcoal to create the flick at the end. There are many ways you can get this look, and with so many products on the market, it is easy to get confused. Below I will explain the use of each product best used to create this look to help you get the best out of your money and so you can use your chosen eyeliner to its potential.

1. Liquid eyeliner; From my experience [which isn't alot reaaally] liquid eyeliner requires quite a steady hand. Best lean on something while applying, and perhaps buy waterproof as it can come off quite easily.

2. Gel eyeliner; This is something I've always wanted to try, but never have. Gel eyeliner is typically more expensive than the others, but from what I've heard is very long-lasting and bold.

3. Pen [liquid, felt tip] eyeliner; My favorite out of the 3! I loooooove my felt tip eyeliner. Its really easy to apply, as its just like using a marker/felt tip pen on your eye, and can be quite cheap too. My only negativity is that I can never find one that last for a long time, and I'm really prone to rubbing my eyes throughout the day, unfortunately.

Get the look;

  1. Grab your chosen product.
  2. Start off in the inner corner of your eye and drag the brush/pen along the eye, staying as close to the lashline as possible.
  3. When you get to the outer corner, draw a small line/flick in the direction of the outer part of your eyebrow.
  4. Voile! Your done! Just repeat on the other eye and try [your best] to make them match.

One of the most anticipated fashion shows of the year, the Victoria's Secret fashion Show took place in New York during the week. With gorgeous models, some of the biggest celebrities performing and AMAZING [although maybe provocative] costumes and lingerie, it is definitely on my 'to see' list!

Victoria's Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio wore the famed Fantasy Bra- one that changes each year. This year's gem was worth a shocking $2.5 million! It was designed by London jewelers, and had a 20 carat white diamond centerpiece.

Alessandra was joined by fellow Angels Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Karlie Kloss and Candice Swanepoel. Performing on the night were Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber and Rihanna to name a few.

What can I say? I love the glitz and glamour, the wings, the feathers, the jewels, the models, the stage.. everything! One of my personal favorites of the night was Miranda Kerr in her first piece. The white feathers and black lace detail are really something. I also like the diamond centerpiece! Of course, it's not something I can imagine anyone would actually WEAR but that's what this is all about really I guess. Fantasizing over something you can't afford/wear/have *sigh*

I was just searching around the internet, as usual, when I came across an AMAZING website with lots of cute layouts and extras for blogs - Shabby Blogs. Don't be fooled by the name, this website has everything you could possible need for your blog! Plus everything is super kitsch and vintage, too. I know I'm definitely going to be using this site a lot! I'm useless at Photoshop and HTMLs ;p

So, as you can see, my blog has had a makeover. Now she looks fabby indeed.

It's time for a blog makeover!

So today I went to a photoshoot for Kiss magazine! I was so excited, because it was for the Reader Style Page and the fact that people like my style is amazing! The girls in the office were so nice, it really gave me confirmation that journalism is the road I want to go down.

Anyways, after that me and my mum hung around town, and I had this delicous white hot chocolate- yes white! I think Lana Del Rey should have sang "heaven is a place on earth with FOOD (instead of you ;p )

I also got my photograph taken with an Abercrombie model *swoon*. He doesn't know it yet, but we're secretly (mentally) dating xo

I thought of this idea while cleaning out my room today. I had so many long necklaces just lying around, collecting dust on a shelf, because they wouldn't fit on my jewelry stand- and bam! The idea came to me.

What you'll need;
* a pinboard
* pins
* necklaces

Simply pin the necklaces to the board! If they are super long and wont fit on the board, I just folded the chain in half and put the pin through two of the chain links. Its best to have the board portrait/vertical for maximum length. You could decorate it too, by filling up empty spaces with glue on flowers or stickers, which is what I SHOULD of done seeing as this pinboard was old and had doodles on it ;p

Happy pinning!

Well technically I wore this yesterday but whatever ;p

My favorite season (for fashion) is definately, without doubt, A/W. I just love the colours, the warmth, the comfort, everything! One of my favorte trends for this season is the skull print, the berry tones, and creepers! They are so comfortable and give me a bit of height too (I am only 5"4) plus its easy to find a pair to suit you seeing as they're EVERYWHERE! This pair I got for €15 too! My scarf I got on eBay for €1.70 :p It did take a while to arrive however, it came from Hong Kong, but the quality is surpisingly good.

Below I leave you with my outfit. (I couldn't get a good all-in-one picture, unfortunately)

So I was blog searching the other day and came across http://emilydenisephotography.com/blog ,who had a fantastic idea for these nails. I simply changed the colour, but they're quite easy to recreate, just a bit time consuming.

Im a nail art fanatic! I recently ordred some dotting tools and China Glaze nail varnish off eBay (as I heard American brands like that are fab) so I cant wait for them to arrive! I actually set up a business but only had two customers ;p

I was recently looking at some other crafty, fashion blogs and found a tutorial for studded heels (found at hellocrissey.com if you are interested).

So I thought, why not jazz up my old converse? (Not real, by the way)

You will need;
- converse
- rhinestones
- super glue (or strong craft glue)
- pritt stick
- pencil (with an eraser on one end)

*Step 1: prepare your rhinestones so that they are the correct way up
*Step 2: make sure the top of our converse are clean!
*Step 3: gently rub the top of the pencil (the eraser on top) with pritt stick so it is tacky.
*Step 4: cover the area you want to stick rhinestones on (but not all at once) with super glue
*Step 5: pick up a rhinestone with the pencil-eraser and apply. Press down firmly.
*Step 6: repeat until the entire top of your converse is covered in rhinestones!

I unfortunately ran out of rhinestones (must buy some on eBay when I get the chance!) so I couldn't do around the sides too, but you can if you wish. I also used multi-coloured rhinestones but you can choose one set it colour if that's what you'd prefer! Remember, they are YOUR shoes so you can decorate them whatever way you want.
OH and try use a cheap or old pair of converse so you don't get in trouble for using an expensive pair ;p Ask for permission if you must/are young.

Next time, Ill post some nail tutorials and maybe some of my drawings :)

Ok so EVEN THOUGH I went to see Lady Gaga like 3 weeks ago I still thought I'd share some pictures seeing as it was frickin' amazing! She is like my all time favorite person ok, so I was elated when I won the tickets. Our seats were sooo high up but it was still the best concert I've ever been to! I took alot of pictures but here are the best few;

By the way, I'm sorry for not posting. Yes I realise I'm practically talking to myself as I have NO FOLLOWERS but whatever. I will be more active and will post some better, non self-centered things soon, sigh sigh.

Summer Anthem

7.10.2012

Hey everyone :) if there is an everyone.. Hmm. Below is what I was wearing today. My outfit consists of aztec leggings (which, yes, I did buy inthe childrens section) and a printed top. Who says you can't wear two prints at once? As long as they balance out evenly it should be ok. My sandals are gold gladiators which are my best friends in the summer! They're so comfortable omg.

And my nails.. Don't get me started on this shade. My mother came home with it yesterday and I was so happy. Its Sally Henson in Pomegrante and the brush only requires one stroke! I applied two coats but one coat would of been fine too.

And lastly, the picture below really made me laugh. Seriously its just so hilarious omg. Excuse me while I wet myself again!!

Bye!

My exams start tomorrow, my dance exam is this weekend and Im off to Spain on the 1st of June. Then I'm going to the Gaeltacht until July 1st so yeah.. Busy busy me!

I will, however, continue to make posts on what I'm wearing in Spain and maybe even check out some Espanola streetstyle (:

For now, I leave you with some photos of my gorgeous dog Misty and some photography I took when walking.
