Hey everyone,
As mentioned in my last review of a Sleek product [the Original eyeshadow palette], I was super excited to finally try some Sleek products when they arrived in Ireland. One of their most acclaimed products is their Contour Kit, which I couldn't wait to get my hands on. Being an extremely pale Irish girl, I picked up the shade 'fair' as expected. In all honesty, prior to buying the product I wasn't one for contouring often, as I wasn't too sure about my method.
For those who don't have a clue what I'm talking about, contouring is the sculpting of the face using a dark and light powder or cream product to give the illusion of a more chiseled face. Take for example Kim Kardashian- you thought those cheekbones were really that defined? Think again! Its no lie that Miss K herself uses contouring to get that glowing, defined face she's most famous for.
The Sleek contour kit is perfect for contouring novices like myself- not only does it include the dark powder and highlighter, but also a little instruction booklet for those who need it. I'm highly impressed with this product- the contouring powder is extremely pigmented, meaning a little goes a long way! I can see myself having this pocket sized palette for ages. I do find that if you use even one dab too much, it can come out a bit orange, which is why I don't use alot. The highlighter is just as good, giving a glowing, gleaming face when used in correct quantities. I use an Avon angled contouring brush for the contour powder and Crown Brush blush brush for the highlighter.
For just €6.49, you really can't go wrong! Sleek products are available in Ireland on boots.ie.
Are you a fan of contouring? What do you think of the Sleek face contour kit?
I've wanted to try out the Sleek Contour Kit for ages..! Did you get it in a Boots store or online? So excited that Sleek is finally available in Ireland :) x
