Hey everyone,
Although I've only written a few book reviews here on Oh Hey There Rachel, I'm an avid reader and will hopefully be writing more of them over the Summer. I loved reading Jessica From Gingerly Pale's list, so decided to create my own! English is one of, if not my absolute favourite subject in school. I mainly read Young Adult books, but plan to read some Classics over the Summer too! I have a reading challenge set at 50 books this year, and due to exams, I'm a few books behind schedule so I look forward to catching up during my free time. There's nothing I love more than reading endless amounts of novels over the Summer- whether it's lounging by the pool in a foreign country, or simply sitting on a bench in my garden.
Before I get into the list, I've two helpful resources when it comes to reading. First is Good Reads- a website that helps you track what you're reading and also recommends books for you to read. I find goodreads.com particularly helpful with my reading challenge, as it tells you how many books behind you are! The other is the Book Depository*, a website you can buy books for at a discount books, and free shipping! I always buy books on this website, because the prices are ridiculously good.
And finally, onto my Summer reading list!
Dystopian [futuristic/post apocalyptic];
Legend, Prodigy & Champion- Marie Lu
The One- Kiera Cass
Ignite Me- Taherah Mafi
Delirium- Lauren Oliver
Supernatural;
Hexed- Michelle Krys
The Coldest Girl In Coldtown- Holly Black
Sweet Evil- Wendy Higgins
Throne Of Glass series- Sarah J. Maas
Lux series- Jennifer L. Armentrout
Bloodlines series- Richelle Mead
The Demons Lexicon- Sarah Rees Brennan
Historical & Classics;
Pride & Prejudice- Jane Austen
Spy For The Queen Of Scots- Theresa Breslin
The Other Boleyn Girl- Philippa Gregory
Romance & New Adult;
We Were Liars- E. Lockhart
Attachments- Rainbow Rowell
Every Day- David Levithan
Some may call it over ambitious, but I can't wait to read all these books! The question is, will I get a chance to read them all..
Have you read any of these books? Or perhaps you have some recommendations for me?
P.S- you can add me on GoodReads here if you want, and you can check out any of these books on the Book Depository here!
