OOTD- Rambling Through La Rambla! (Barcelona Day 1)

11.03.2014

Hey everyone,

I've just returned from a week's stay in the lovely city of Barcelona in Spain, so to tend my sadness of returning, I'm reminiscing over the past week by editing my photos. It's been a busy week indeed! My family and I stayed in an apartment in the suburbs of the city, and the metro line was right on our doorstep. We'd often have to get two metros to reach our destination, but that didn't really matter. We arrived late Sunday night, so we decided to spend Monday strolling around the city and checking out some of the sites. We headed to the infamous Sagrada Familia first (Gaudi's unfinished Cathedral), but the queue waiting time was 90 minutes- so we left! I did manage to gaze at it's intricate detail and snap a few pictures of the architecture before we ran off, thankfully.

I decided to keep things quite casual and boho-inspired seeing as it was only the first day (in reality, they were the first things I saw in my suitcase!). The printed skirt and kimono were two of my most worn items this Summer, so it was a perfect excuse to wear them again!

What I Wore:

Lace top, shoes & skirt- New Look
Kimono- Penneys/Primark
Bag- vintage

We managed to make our way into a smaller cathedral- the Cathedral of Barcelona- so I wasn't completely deprived of Gaudi's beautiful architecture. We basically walked all over the city that day! Barcelona is full to the brim of sweet shops and bakeries, much to my sweet-tooth's delight..

Some snaps from the city!

Stay tuned for more pictures from BCN!
