September Wishlist


This month's wishlist features a combination of high end and high street pieces- working in a designer consignment shop has really opened my eyes to a lot of expensive pieces! As Winter approaches, I'm lusting after lots of leather and chunky knits. I lost my trusty leather jacket last week, so I'm on the hunt for a new one- this Acne studios one is the dream. As I'm starting college at the end of the month, a MacBook Air would be extremely useful (and for blogging too) so that's the first thing I'll be saving up for this season!

Hey everyone,

Exams are finally over, which means I'm finally free for a week! I have been waiting for this week for so long, not only because of the lack of school, but also because of my upcoming trip to London. Myself and my mam had been planning to go over as a sort of post-mocks/birthday present (I turned 17 on Saturday FYI), and London Fashion Week just happened to be on at the same time. I applied for a tonne of invites, expecting to receive none, and all of a sudden my 3 day trip is set to be a whirlwind weekend! I almost have to pinch myself when I think about it. It's been my dream to go since forever, and I still can't believe I'm actually going. I have yet to decide what shows I'm heading to, as we're trying to fit in some tourist-y bits too, but it's set to be a good weekend without doubt/

I'm going to be posting about the shows I've been to, the clothes I'm wearing and the street style, but I thought I'd start off my LFW series with a wishlist. I'm only going to be there for the first two days of fashion week, but I'm also heading to a pre-LFW party. I've been trying to piece together some outfits in my head and it's proving to be a hard choice, so I decided to put together a wishlist of things I'd love to be wearing on the streets of London this season.

If it's not pretty clear from the collage above- I absolutely adore faux fur. I've been lusting after a fluffy bag and shoes for ages now. They're so Clueless inspired, and remind me of this post I wrote last year. I already own a black faux fur coat but this houndstooth printed one is so different and beautiful. Something quite basic that I've been longing for is a pair of boyfriend jeans. I'm not really a big jeans wearer, but I love my mom jeans, and a pair of ripped boyfriend ones are the next ones on my list. A new pair of sunglasses is a must have for that pesky sun that's trying to break through these awful February skies, and these Prada ones are beautifully out of my price range... I'm also in need of a new fedora hat like this one from H&M. Lastly, a 70s-esque suede tan skirt and a strawberry clutch bag are also something I'd love to wear- and that New Look clutch is adorable!

The over the knee boot has been everywhere lately, and I've been lusting after a pair for so long! I'm still trying to find the right pair for me, and I'm hoping I find my dream pair before Christmas. Over the knee boots can be quite a tricky trend to master- a lot of people fear that they'll make them look shorter. If worn a certain way, they can actually elongate your legs! 

There are so many ways you can wear thigh high boots, so there's certainly a look to suit everyone. My favorite way to style them is with an over-sized knit and a slouchy shoulder bag- effortlessly chic! Or you could wear them with an equally bang on trend blanket cape. Your favorite little black black dress and a cute clutch. Skinny jeans and a sweater- the possibilities are endless!

The over the knee boot has been everywhere lately, and I've been lusting after a pair for so long! I'm still trying to find the right pair for me, and I'm hoping I find my dream pair before Christmas. Over the knee boots can be quite a tricky trend to master- a lot of people fear that they'll make them look shorter. If worn a certain way, they can actually elongate your legs!

Hey everyone,

I was sorting through some old photos and I came across these outfit shots I took a month or two ago and completely forgot to share with you! It was during that awkward time when Summer was yet to leave, but it was not yet Autumn. That said, it definitely seems like something I could still wear now. I thrifted these Kurt Geiger shoes for a mere €3, and the frilly socks just look super cute with it, don't you think? I decided to mix textures by wearing two different finishes of leather- my patent skirt from River Island and trusty jacket from Penneys. Since these pictures were taken, my hair has changed colour- yay! There's not much of a difference but I'm finally free from failed ombré attempts, and I've gone for an all over mahagony-purple-brown. 

Clothes aside, Gaga was amazing on Friday, as expected! I queued for 7 hours and ended up about 5 or 6 rows from the front so it was totally worth it. Seeing my idol on stage for the first time in two years made me really overwhelmed, but I'd do anything to go back-sigh.

OOTD- Lets Get Loud

Hey everyone,

Hey everyone,

Another fashion post today! Now that school's over and done with for Summer, I have plenty of time to shoot outfit posts, but of course there'll definitely be some beauty related posts up this week too! I'm currently embracing my freedom and making the most of my time, even if it involves staying in my pajamas until 12pm.. 

I picked up this beautiful vintage dress for a mere €20 in Om Diva, a lovely little shop on Drury Street in Dublin. There's just something extra magical about wearing vintage pieces. I often wonder to myself who wore it before me, and what their life story was. As I'm an avid vintage shopper, I'm going to be putting together a list of my favorite vintage shops in Dublin ASAP, so watch this space! 

I wore this outfit to a local festival yesterday, and it certainly was suitable for the scorching weather. I got my hair cut yesterday morning, and for the first time in about a year, my hair is poker straight! It's not something I usually like but I thought I'd give it a try for once.

Hey everyone,

Another fashion post today! Now that school's over and done with for Summer, I have plenty of time to shoot outfit posts, but of course there'll definitely be some beauty related posts up this week too! I'm currently embracing my freedom and making the most of my time, even if it involves staying in my pajamas until 12pm.. 

I picked up this beautiful vintage dress for a mere €20 in Om Diva, a lovely little shop on Drury Street in Dublin. There's just something extra magical about wearing vintage pieces. I often wonder to myself who wore it before me, and what their life story was. Hey everyone,

Printed trousers seem to be every where later, and I'm loving them! I have yet to pick up a pair, but whilst having a browse in the shops today there were a few that caught my eye. I love how a lot of high-street stores have some very affordable yet very stylist takes on the printed trouser trend. Not only are these kind of trousers extremely comfortable, but they can also be worn during the day and during the night. 

River Island in particular have a huge selection of printed trousers, in a wide variety of colours. I spotted the blue floral ones on blogger So Sue Me and I love them! The cropped multicoloured joggers would also look amazing with a simple tee and heels. The New Look trousers also tie in with the tropical trend that's still going strong this season, and I like how they're not tapered at the end like the others. Boohoo's ikat print trousers look insanely comfortable- I could imagine myself wearing them with everything, particularly since they're black and white! Lastly, I included a pair of the famous Topshop Joni jeans, as I know not everyone is into lose fitting trousers. These skinnies are super cute and very eye catching.

Hey everyone,

Hey everyone,
It's been almost 2 weeks since my last outfit post- shocker! I just haven't had the time to buy new clothes, and I've been re-wearing old outfits.
