I love coats. In fact, if I had to choose a favourite piece of clothing, I'd choose the winter coat. But the problem is, as soon as Winter comes around, I find it hard to commit to a new one. Not because of the price (although I'll admit that is a factor) but because there are so many different styles and colours to choose from. Will I go for a trusty cocoon one in dusty pink? Or stick with a monochrome palette this season?

Something Different: A Water Inspired Photoshoot

A couple of months ago I did a favour for a photographer friend of mine, Katie O' Neill, for a competition she was entering in association with Dublin Fashion Festival. I'm no model, but I thought it would be nice to share the photos with you all anyway, as Katie managed to make the final 5! I remember being absolutely freezing but it was a fun little project to take part in and Katie's photos are absolutely beautiful. You can check out more of her work on Instagram here!

The sad thing is, I'm not sure if I can see myself living in Dublin in 10 years time. Maybe it's because I love travelling, maybe it's because there aren't as many oppurtunities in the fashion industry here. Maybe it's a bit of both. Regardless of where I may find myself living in the years to come, Dublin will always hold a special place in my heart.
This look is the perfect example of my every day college style. Comfortable shoes, a huge handbag to hold all my essentials and a scarf for the ever changing weather. These mermaid-esque Aldo runners are the new loves of my life- they look even better in person!

First things first-I am completely and utterly in love with this dress. Knee length, red lace and pretty damn comfortable, it's everything I need in a dress. I wore this look yesterday to the Blog Awards Ireland ceremony, where I was a finalist for Best Youth Blog and Best Fashion Blog. Not to mention the press events, family time and interning on top of that! So today I'm spending my lazy Sunday blogging and watching movies- might as well relish in my free time while have it.
I'm feeling quite anxious about my results, purely because the Summer seems to have made me lose focus. I can't recall how good my performance in the exams were, and I have no clue whether or not to start college this year, or defer for the year. Hopefully everything falls into place over the next few days!

Yesterday I attended the first press event I've been to in months, to view Boohoo's latest collection. Being surrounded by so many passionate and fashionable people has really given me a good boost of motivation and inspiration! Exams are finally over, which means I'm finally free for a week! I have been waiting for this week for so long, not only because of the lack of school, but also because of my upcoming trip to London. Myself and my mam had been planning to go over as a sort of post-mocks/birthday present (I turned 17 on Saturday FYI), and London Fashion Week just happened to be on at the same time. I applied for a tonne of invites, expecting to receive none, and all of a sudden my 3 day trip is set to be a whirlwind weekend! I almost have to pinch myself when I think about it. It's been my dream to go since forever, and I still can't believe I'm actually going. I have yet to decide what shows I'm heading to, as we're trying to fit in some tourist-y bits too, but it's set to be a good weekend without doubt/
I'm going to be posting about the shows I've been to, the clothes I'm wearing and the street style, but I thought I'd start off my LFW series with a wishlist. I'm only going to be there for the first two days of fashion week, but I'm also heading to a pre-LFW party. I've been trying to piece together some outfits in my head and it's proving to be a hard choice, so I decided to put together a wishlist of things I'd love to be wearing on the streets of London this season.

If it's not pretty clear from the collage above- I absolutely adore faux fur. I've been lusting after a fluffy bag and shoes for ages now. They're so Clueless inspired, and remind me of this post I wrote last year. I already own a black faux fur coat but this houndstooth printed one is so different and beautiful. Something quite basic that I've been longing for is a pair of boyfriend jeans. I'm not really a big jeans wearer, but I love my mom jeans, and a pair of ripped boyfriend ones are the next ones on my list. A new pair of sunglasses is a must have for that pesky sun that's trying to break through these awful February skies, and these Prada ones are beautifully out of my price range... I'm also in need of a new fedora hat like this one from H&M. Lastly, a 70s-esque suede tan skirt and a strawberry clutch bag are also something I'd love to wear- and that New Look clutch is adorable!
