Brand Focus: Essence Cosmetics

11.29.2014

Hey everyone,

It's no surprise that I'm a big fan of budget beauty, and I've regularly featured affordable bits and pieces here on my blog. When I received some makeup from from Essence* to feature on my blog, I was super excited. Essence will always hold a close place in my heart as from what I can remember, they were the first makeup brand I ever used! I realise that it's now Autumn so some of these products might be a bit harder to find, but I imagine stockists will have most of them! Without further ado, here are my top picks from Essence's latest releases;

Hello Autumn eyeshadow palette*: I'm not going to lie- green isn't one of my favourite colours, but how lovely is this palette?! Essence have really captured the beauty of Autumn leaves so well, and I couldn't wait to use those earthy green tones. The pigmentation of some of the shades aren't too great, but for the most part they're extremely buildable. For only €4.79, you can't go wrong! Perfect for those who are constantly on the go.

Hello Autumn eyebrow set*: Although you can't often see them because of my fringe, I do believe that eyebrows are extremely important- they can change a look from drab to fab in seconds. The darker shade in this palette matches my brunette brows perfectly, and the highlight shade isn't too shabby either! €3.09
Lash Princess mascara*; I have a ridiculous amount of mascaras in my collection, and I tend to switch between different ones daily. This mascara in particular is surprisingly very lengthening, and also long wearing. I really like the shape and size of the brush- it's small enough to reach those pesky inner lashes, without looking clumpy. €3.29

Longlasting lipstick in '14 adorable matt!'*; As a huge 1950's fan, red lipstick is a necessity for me. I have a couple of different brands and shades, but lately I've been reaching for this little gem. It's super creamy, opaque and lasts for hours- what more could you want?! €2.40

Lipliner in '14 femme fatale'*; Every good lipstick deserves a matching lip liner, and this one is the perfect match for the longlasting lipstick. I do find the liner feels and smells a bit waxy, but it does the job well so I'm not one to complain. €1.10
