How To Get That Summer Glow

Summer has begun [although in this weather, you mightn't have noticed it..] and it's the time of year when I like to have a bit of extra sparkle in my step, and on my face! I love a good matte face in all honesty, but most days I got for a dewy look. I've been using a combination of products recently to try get that coveted Summer 'glow'. Having typical Irish pale skin, I either; a) get really burnt even with SPF50 on b) come out in a heat rash or c) don't change colour at all! I find it quite hard to get gleaming look, but these products have definitely made a change to my makeup routine.
Olay complete care + everyday sunshine moisturiser*; I was sent this last week to try out and I'm already loving it! I had actually never even seen it shops before, so I was super excited to put it to use. I believe it comes in light and deep, but the light shade is perfect for me. It's basically a moisturiser with a self tanning element, that brings up a lovely natural colour to the face. It claims to bring up your face colour by two shades, and if you used it twice daily I could definitely see that happening! I've been using it every morning and already I can see a difference. The consistency reminds me of suncream for some reason, but I can definitely see myself using this over the Summer daily. €11.49
MAC strobe cream; I got matched for a mac foundation a few months ago and the girl at the counter gave me a sample of some and also some strobe cream. At first, I wasn't entirely sure what to do with it!Simply mix it in with your foundation to get the overall dewy look, or sometimes I like to apply it directly onto my cheekbones before foundation. €17 for 30ml
Gosh giant sun powder*; I've been using this for months now and it's a brilliant all rounder. It's a gorgeous facial and body highlighter, or even as a bronzer as it is more warm toned. It's also a favorite among celebrities like Rosanna Davison, and you get so much product for the price! Score. €19.99
Seventeen stay time concealer [extra fair]; I have a bit of a love hate relationship with this concealer, I'm not going to lie. I usually only use it when I need to lighten a concealer that's too dark, but recently I've been using it as a cream highlight. Using a lighter concealer under your eyes really brightens up the area. I never use this to cover spots though, as it doesn't seem to cover anything! €5.69
Physicians Formula BB powder; You might remember that not so long ago, I headed to the Physicians Formula Irish launch [read about it here!] and this powder has really stood out for me. I'd never tried a BB powder prior to this- heck, I'd never even heard of one! It's like a highlighter-cross-powder- you can use it to set your makeup whilst also adding a bit of shimmer, or use it as a highlighter. I love the compartment underneath with the brush and mirror, perfect for travelling!
