Hey everyone,
About 2 months ago, I came to a realisation that my skin was in the worst condition it had been in a while. I had always been pretty good when it came to having a skincare routine, but somehow laziness took over and the only thing touching my skin were makeup wipes at night. I have combination skin, and I don't suffer from acne, but I do get a lot of spots around my mouth and chin area- particularly during that time of the month. I also began to notice dryness around my cheeks and nose. After a look around my skincare drawer and with the addition of some new products, I have finally gotten my skin back on track! Here are some products that have really helped to clear up and improve the general appearance of my skin;
• Lush Mask Of Magnaminty- There's nothing I love more than having a pamper night to unwind after a stressful week, and using a face mask is one of my favourite ways to do this. Mask Of Magnaminty is a face and body mask, and I actually bought this for the spots on my back (which are unfortunately worse than the ones I get on my face!). If I could only recommend one product from this post, I would have to say this. Not only does it genuinely reduce the size of the spots on my face and leave it feeling insanely smooth, but I've also noticed myself getting less spots since I started using it! I would only use this once a week as the gritty, exfoliating particles in this mask could be a bit harsh on the skin if overused.
• No7 Soft & Soothed toner- I know a lot of people believe toners are a waste of time, but I honestly disagree. Because some of the areas on my face were a bit dry, I realised that I really needed to start adding a bit more moisture into my routine, and this toner is just perfect.You can read my full review here!
• The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil*; I actually featured this in my skincare favourites post last year (read here) and it's so good, I'm still using it! I was a bit sceptical about using an oil on my face seeing as my T-zone is very oily, but it somehow just really works. It even takes off all my eye makeup, not to mention how silky it feels on the skin.

• NeoStrata Clarifying Facial Cleanser*- Yet another cleanser that I've been loving lately! NeoStrata are a fairly new brand to me, but definitely a brand I will be returning to. This cleanser in particular is a foaming cleanser that is suitable for blemish prone skin. I use this in the morning times in the shower, and it leaves my skin looking a lot firmer and brighter. And, (not that a 17 year old really needs it) it has anti-aging properties too!
• Isadora Protect Face Primer*- Although this product is advertised as a primer, its unlike any primers I've used before. You can read my full review on it here!
• Lush Grease Lightning- Last but not least, something that is a little more targeted for blemish or spot prone skin. This is a spot treatment gel that comes with a pump, so it's easy to apply onto spots individually. The only negative thing I can say about this is that a lot of product comes out of the pump, so I often end up not using the rest. It's definitely not an overnight wonder product, but when applied a few times it definitely helps to reduce the size of those pesky pimples!
What skincare products have you been loving lately?

DeleteI used to LOVE Lush face masks and have no idea why I stopped buying them. This one sounds lovely though, so I definitely need to make a little visit I think :)
