I recently attended an event for a brand I knew little to nothing about- Mary Kay. That's definitely one of the perks of blogging, as I love discovering new brands! Believe it or not, Mary Kay have been around for over 50 years. The company was founded by Mary Kay Ash in 1963, and they're a direct sales company, meaning the products are sold by a consultant from door to door. They also sell their products online.
At the event I was lucky enough to try out some products, so I thought I'd write 3 mini reviews rather than writing them separately!
True Dimensions Lipstick* First of all I just want to mention the packaging: I love how expensive everything looks, although the products do feel a bit plastic-y in your hands. I like how this lipstick pops out unlike most lipsticks! I received the shade 'wild about pink' and although it's not a shade I'd normally wear, I really like! It's quite sheer but that's why I like it, as it's quite natural, and very buildable. It's extremely creamy and moisturising too. The only thing I dislike about this lipstick is the wear time- it doesn't last long at all! At €18, it's a bit steep seeing as it came straight off my lips.
Ultimate Mascara* I love this mascara! It really does give a lot of extra volume, without looking clumpy. The brush is nice and small so perfect for bottom lashes, and it doesn't smudge either. Score! €18
Sheer Dimensions Powder* In all honesty, I find the term 'powder' in the title to be a tad misleading, as it's definitely a blush in my eyes. Names aside, this beautiful blush in the shade 'lace' is the perfect coral shade for Summer. It's not too bright, but gives a lovely natural glow on the face. I also love the 3D design, as it reminds of the Clinique blushers! Again, I find the price a bit high as the packaging is quite flimsy but it's still a gorgeous product. €26

Hey everyone,
There's no denying that I'm a huge vintage fan. I adore many old Hollywood starlets, and find it fascinating to discover things about the past. History is one of my favourite subjects in school, and I watch a lot of historical dramas- like Reign, about a young Mary Queen of Scots, and Mr.Selfridge. One thing that particularly interests me is how style has changed over the past 100 years. Although I don't own too many vintage pieces, my collection is gradually growing! I also love thrift shopping, as you never know what pre-loved item you'll grab for a bargain price!
Over the past year and half I've discovered many vintage gems in Dublin city, so I thought I'd put together a collection of my favorites.
1. Om Diva

I first discovered this shop back when I began blogging, as I attended a shop event. Although I didn't buy anything, I returned a few weeks ago and picked up this beautiful Summer dress for €20 [see the full outfit post here!]. Om Diva is a super cute shop on Drury Street, with their vintage pieces housed downstairs. It's a very girly store, and even the hangers are made out of gorgeous jewels! The staff are always lovely, and I know I'll definitely be popping in a few times over the Summer.
2. 9 Crow Street

Although I've visited this shop once, I'm always lusting after items on their online shop. 9 Crow Street have lots of variety, there's definitely something for everyone. They have quite an urban twist too. Their physical store is actually on Lower Ormond Quay, but even if you don't live in Dublin you should definitely check out their stock online!
3. Siopaella

Siopaella is a consignment store that I have a lot of love for. They have 2 stores both in Temple Bar- one selling more designer, high end pieces, and the other sells more affordable pieces. I've attended many of their €3 sales for charity, and everything is in fabulous condition. The staff are also very accommodating, and I believe it's quite popular among celebrities like Florence Welch! You can check out one of my outfit's featuring a dress I bought in Siopaella here.
4. Antique & Vintage Fairs

There's always vintage & antique fairs on in Dublin, run by Vintage Ireland, and I've been to numerous ones in different venues. There's always so much to chose from- from retro clothing to antique furniture. Not only that, but it's a brilliant day out, with fashion shows, live music and lots of vintage fun! There's one taking place tomorrow in the Celbridge Manor Hotel, and admission is only €3.50. If you're around I'd highly recommend popping in, as I'm going myself and can't wait! I wrote about one of the fairs here if you want to read up on what goes on.

5. Temple Bar District

Last but not least is the Temple Bar area in Dublin's city centre. There are so many vintage shops to chose from! Three of my favorites are Fresh, Eager Beaver & Lucy's Lounge. As you can see from the photos above, even the outside of the shops are quirky! They're all pretty near each other too, so you could easily hit them all in one day. Eager Beaver sells a lot of vintage inspired items, Fresh is very 90's grunge and Lucy's Lounge also stocks some handmade pieces.

Hey everyone, I wore this outfit to see the movie Maleficent the other day, and wow- it was amazing! Ever since I was a child, I've been fascinated by the idea of faeries, and Angeline Jolie was so elegant and beautiful. Her makeup was simply stunning- I must try to recreate it sometime soon! On the day I wore this outfit, I wanted to be comfortable for the cinema, so I chose this blouse from my mam's wardrobe. I only recently purchased these wedge sandals in Penneys, and I must say, they fit like a glove but are hard to walk in! They're not even that high, but they're curved at the front so I feel like I'm tipping over when wearing them. Nevertheless, I can see myself buying another pair in a different colour, as they're so versatile.

Hey everyone,

As the days get longer and the sun shines brighter, my usual makeup routine changes. As you may know from my post about 'how to get that summer glow', I'm a big fan of glowing skin for the warmer days, which is why I'm lusting after the NYX illuminator (5). NYX have just launched in Ireland and I'm so so excited to get my hands on their products! I feel this would look brilliant on with the Essence blush stick (1), a product I've heard a lot about lately. I actually have never used a cream blush before, but I'm intrigued to see how they compare to powder blushers. Of course, none of this could be applied without the right SPF underneath. I either burn, don't change colour at all or come out in a heat rash, so it's important to have the right facial suncream as well as my body! I'm hoping to buy this La Roche-Posay anthelios SPF for face (4), as I despise the feeling of regular suncream on my face.

I'm usually a liquid liner kinda gal, but after hearing about the launch of the new Benefit They're Real push up liner (2) I'm desperate to give it a try. It's definitely up my street! I'm on the look out for a new nude lipstick, but one that's more pink toned- and this MAC lipstick in the shade 'sweet experience' (3) looks super fresh and girly. Last on my wishlist this month, is the Bumble & Bumble surf spray (6), a cult product in the blogging world. I love having natural, wavy hair and although this is on the pricier side of things, it looks amazing!

Hey everyone,
Another fashion post today! Now that school's over and done with for Summer, I have plenty of time to shoot outfit posts, but of course there'll definitely be some beauty related posts up this week too! I'm currently embracing my freedom and making the most of my time, even if it involves staying in my pajamas until 12pm..
I picked up this beautiful vintage dress for a mere €20 in Om Diva, a lovely little shop on Drury Street in Dublin. There's just something extra magical about wearing vintage pieces. I often wonder to myself who wore it before me, and what their life story was. As I'm an avid vintage shopper, I'm going to be putting together a list of my favorite vintage shops in Dublin ASAP, so watch this space!
I wore this outfit to a local festival yesterday, and it certainly was suitable for the scorching weather. I got my hair cut yesterday morning, and for the first time in about a year, my hair is poker straight! It's not something I usually like but I thought I'd give it a try for once.
