eyeshadow palette

Hey everyone,
I love eyeshadow palettes- they're compact, easy to use and easy to carry around. My makeup collection is still growing, and it's no lie that my Naked palette is my every day staple. When I heard about Naked 3, I wasn't in a rush to buy it, but as soon as I saw those gorgeous pink hues I fell in love! However after just buying the Naked 1 palette, I decided to hold off and try other brands. When Ann Marie Gannon PR contacted me and sent me this this beautiful Pari Eyeshadow Palette* I knew it was match made in heaven.
Rachel Murphy is a professional makeup artist who discovered Canadian brand Pari Beauty recently. The Pari eye shadow palettes contain UV protection, mica for a silky texture, and zinc which works for sensitive skin. In every day terms: these eyeshadows are brilliant for sensitive skin whilst also being extremely pigmented and silky! Each palette has a mixture of matte, shimmer and semi pearl colours. I received the 'Elements' palette, which contains a beautiful cream, two shades of brown, a pearly rose gold and deep burgundy.

I love how versatile this palette is- you could create a girly, simple look using the lighter shades, or grunge it up a bit with the cranberry. The palette also comes with a mirror and a brush. I'm not a fan of the sponge applicator- personally I find them a bit useless, but the brush on the other end works perfectly for blending the shadow together.
Retailing at €40 at rachelmurphymakeup.com, it might seem a bit pricey, but when you think about it, that's only €8 per eyeshadow! I'm extremely impressed with how pigmented these are. Lasting power isn't as long as I would expect on it's own, but with an eye primer they lasted all of the school day for me.

Hey everyone,

Its been a while since I've written a review so i thought I'd finally hit one up whilst taking a break from studying. I have exams all next week and I've done very little in preparation.. In other news, Haim were rad on Friday! I had the best time EVER, it was amazing to finally see them live and meet them again afterwards. I put lots of pictures up on my instagam @ohheythererachel if you're interested!

Moving swiftly along, when I heard the Sleek had finally arrived in Ireland [and in my nearest Boots too!] I was really excited. I've heard alot about the budget brand and couldn't wait to get my hands on something. I chose one of their famous i-Divine eyeshadow palettes in "Original". I was not disappointed!

Sleek Makeup are a UK brand and their eyeshadow palettes are described as "12 shades of super-pigmented, longlasting, mineral based eyeshadow, designed to suit all". I chose this palette not only because it was their original palette, but because the shades were all versatile, not too showy and shimmery [bar one matte black]. I'm not a huge fan of matte eyeshadows, and I'm still on the hunt for ones that actually don't disappear 2 hours later! The shades in this palette vary from rose gold, blues and greens.

I absolutely adore this palette! My favorite shade has got to be the pink-rose gold shade, third on the bottom. I also love yellow-gold for the corners of my eyes, once applied lightly. The copper shade looks gorgeous in the crease. I've yet to venture out wearing either of the green shades as green is my least favorite colour, but I'm sure I'll try them at some stage. The shadows are so pigmented, I honestly wasn't expecting them to be that rich. With a primer they last for hours, and I find without a primer they don't. Surprisingly enough, the matte black is actually more pigmented then I expected, and I've been using it on m outer V alot lately. Overall, Sleek have definitely impressed me and I've already gone out and bought their celebrated contour kit! For only €9.99 in Boots [and online!] this gem is worth every penny.

Hey everyone,

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE! I am so glad to be finished exams, and I can;t wait to share some new ideas on my blog. A blog makeover, new segments, maybe some videos.. So exciting! I'm off to Spain on July 5th [so lots of outfit posts.. watch this space] and work experience at KISS magazine in August. I can;t wait!

Moving on, as you can see from the title, this post is basically a few things I've found on ebay.ie and items I'm lusting over. I'm actually quite an eBay addict and love finding new bargains! Hope you like it :)
