Yesterday I attended the first press event I've been to in months, to view Boohoo's latest collection. Being surrounded by so many passionate and fashionable people has really given me a good boost of motivation and inspiration! I'm hoping to redesign my blog layout over Easter, and I shall hopefully be returning to posting more than once a week.

 Hey everyone,

When one of my favourite Irish designers, Alice Halliday, got in touch with a proposal for a Valentines Day themed collaboration, I was 100% up for it. Not only is my birthday on Valentines Day, but Alice is a designer that I've been following on Instagram since forever. I actually discovered her work through one of my favourite artists Florence Welch (of Florence + the Machine) who wore one of Alice's capes a while back. Since then, her ethical and ethereal pieces have been featured in many publications, and are stocked in both Ireland & the UK (stockists below!), not to mention online. 

The end result was a sort of Alice In Wonderland themed photoshoot, shot at my one of favourite places. The eerie fog and background void of many people really added to the mythical look I was going for! Although I evidently have my own sense of personal style, I absolutely love putting themed shoots together. I don't have a professional photographer, and I'm not a model- but that doesn't make styling photo shoots impossible. Just grab a friend (or a younger sister in my case!), put on some pretty clothes based around a certain theme, and voila!

Queen Of Hearts- A Valentines Day Themed Outfit Shoot

 Hey everyone,

When one of my favourite Irish designers, Alice Halliday, got in touch with a proposal for a Valentines Day themed collaboration, I was 100% up for it. Not only is my birthday on Valentines Day, but Alice is a designer that I've been following on Instagram since forever. I actually discovered her work through one of my favourite artists Florence Welch (of Florence + the Machine) who wore one of Alice's capes a while back. Since then, her ethical and ethereal pieces have been featured in many publications, and are stocked in both Ireland & the UK (stockists below!), not to mention online.

Hey everyone,

Hey everyone,

I was sorting through some old photos and I came across these outfit shots I took a month or two ago and completely forgot to share with you! I thrifted these Kurt Geiger shoes for a mere €3, and the frilly socks just look super cute with it, don't you think? Since these pictures were taken, my hair has changed colour- yay! There's not much of a difference but I'm finally free from failed ombré attempts, and I've gone for an all over mahagony-purple-brown. 

Clothes aside, Gaga was amazing on Friday, as expected! I queued for 7 hours and ended up about 5 or 6 rows from the front so it was totally worth it. Seeing my idol on stage for the first time in two years made me really overwhelmed, but I'd do anything to go back-sigh.

OOTD- Lets Get Loud

Hey everyone,

Hey everyone,

My sister is heading in for her second spinal operation on Monday, so fingers crossed it goes well.

OOTD- Long Way Home

Hey everyone,

So I FINALLY got around to doing some shopping- and by god, did I need some retail therapy! I've been on the lookout for a cheap black fedora for months now, and I was considering buying one on eBay, but luckily enough I came across this one in Penneys for €8. My dear blogging friend Zoë was chosen to be the official blogger at the Junk Kouture fashion show, and she kindly invited me to go along with her! Junk Kouture is a competition held across Ireland, where students submit a dress they've created out of 'junk'. 

I've been longing after a flower crown for so long now, so I was delighted to pick up this pretty one in Penneys for €3. The bomber jacket has an 80s feel to it, and it was only €7- bargain!

Hey everyone,

I'm currently writing this in bed, sick with a bad cold and moping with self pity. The Easter holidays have begun, and to say I'm elated would be an understatement! I'll have plenty of time to write my heart out. I recently received a gorgeous necklace from Eleanor Hall Jewellery* and I couldn't wait to wear it. I've followed Eleanor on twitter for a while now and I was in awe of her products, so when she asked if I'd like to try a piece out I jumped at the chance. She sent me her "Heavy Metal" necklace [retailing at €26] which is made with Czech glass spike beads- almost magical like! It's particularly hard to capture on camera, from the way the light catches it! I love it anyways, and she was kind enough to send a pair of earrings for my sister, who as you know is Oh Hey There Rachel's resident blog photographer. Eleanor is an Irish jewellery designer, and her latest Game Of Thrones collection is gorgeous!

I'm wearing yet another Haim band tee but I picked this up at their last gig in Ireland and I adore it. I decided to try out double buns in my hair and strangely enough, I really like it!
