Hey everyone,
Before I get into the review, I should probably give you a bit of background into my hair 'story'. I've always had extremely thick hair- it once took two hairdressers to dry my hair, and another time they had to wash it twice! Over the past few years I've been dying it a good bit, from mahogany to a failed ombré attempt to very dark brown. I have layers in my hair, but I've been trying to grow it very long lately. The ends can get very dry, but the top can get very oily, particularly my fringe. In all honesty, I never really care about what shampoo I'm using, and I know I should start looking after my hair better!
Mane N' Tail contacted me and asked if I'd like to try out their Herbal Essentials* shampoo and conditioner, so for the past week or so I've been using this and putting it to the test. It promises to "nourish and condition the scalp" using a natural blend of herbs, providing healthy hair results. It also claims to prevent frizz and split ends, something I definitely needed! I blow dry my hair as it takes much too long to dry naturally, and I always find it gets super frizzy afterwards. Mane N' Tail was originally created for horses- how crazy is that?!
The shampoo and conditioner both smell amazing without doubt- there's definitely a fruity, fresh scent, something I can't quite describe. Consistency wise, they're both very thick and lather up well with the water. It made my hair feel very soft, and I was most impressed by how, for once, my hair wasn't frizzy after blow drying-yay! I think my only piece of constructive criticism would be the nozzle is a bit small, and as the shampoo and conditioner are both quite thick it was a tad hard to get out. other than that, I've been really enjoying using the range, but would I use it again? I'm not too sure. Although I like it, it hasn't made my hair too shiny or really stood out to me!

OOTD- More Issues Than Vogue

Preparation;
I find it best to apply a basecoat before painting my nails, and a topcoat after. The basecoat stops the polish from staining your nails, and the topcoat will make it last longer and appear glossier. I use an Essence basecoat, and an Essence topcoat.
Tutorial;
1. Paint your nails with two coats of your chosen white polish so it's opaque.
2. Taking a nail art brush, apply blue stripes in different directions on your nails as shown above.
3. Repeat again with the pastel purple polish, like in the picture above.
4. And again with your lemon polish! By now your nails should be 80% coloured in with only some white visible.
5. The last and trickiest part is applying the aztec design with the black nail art pen. This certainly requires patience! You can make up your own design or you can replicate mine;
And there you have it! Pretty pastel nails in time for Easter.

Easter/Spring Pastel Aztec Nail Art Tutorial
