Its that time of year again where you start seeing Halloween decorations in shops again. For me, it's when I start seeing bloggers making halloween themes posts. I'm a bit of a halloween grinch- I never particularly liked it as a child and I hate it now. Perhaps its because my estate are quite boring when it comes to halloween. If halloween was still about its original purpose, I'd probably like it, as I like dressing up and I love anything witch-y! So instead of makeup tutorials, I thought I'd start a new halloween nail art tutorial series instead. Hope you like them, let me know if you'll be trying them out!
You Will Need;
-White nail polish & pen
-Blue nail polish
-Red nail art pen
-Black nail art pen
What I Used;
- white; Sinful Colours
-blue, black & red nail art pens from Hairspray
Preparation;
I find it best to apply a basecoat before painting my nails, and a topcoat after. The basecoat stops the polish from staining your nails, and the topcoat will make it last longer and appear glossier. I use a Sally Hansen nail hardener as my basecoat, and an Essence topcoat.
Tutorial;
1. Paint your nails two shades of white. I love this one by Sinful Colours, it lasts ages and gives full coverage!
2. Using your blue nail polish/pen, make a blue circle in the middle of your nail.
3. When dry, paint a black [smaller] circle inside the black circle for the pupil. I used a white nail art pen t pain a little dot in the top left hand corner, so it looks like there's light shining on it for a 3D effect!
4. Taking your red nail art pen, draw 'Y' shapes and zig-zags starting from the outside of the nail. Repeat this all around the nail so they look like veins.
And there you have it- eyes on your fingers.

Hey everyone,
A few weeks ago, I decided to treat myself to an item that I would think of as expensive, tasteful, and in every blogger's makeup bag- a mac lippie. As a self confessed lipstick addict, I have owned a mac lipstick before, however bringing it to school and losing it is NOT an ideal situation [yet it happened to me]. There's nothing that I love more than berry tones in the Fall. Last A/W, Kate Moss for Rimmel in shade 107 was my savior, but this year I thought I'd look for a new one. I know that 107 has been compared to Rebel alot, but I think they're completely different tones! [107- more red, 'rebel;= more pink, in my opinion]
Rebel is a stunning berry lipstick that has a pink/deep purple undertone when applied. I would describe it as a dark raspberry-like colour. It has a satin finish, so it's not too matte nor too glossy-exactly what I was looking for, seeing as I have alot of matte lipsticks anyways! It feels so creamy on the lips when applied. This might sound rather odd, but it actually tastes lovely too! 
[excuse my cracked lips- winter weather has finally hit!]
Retailing at around €19 in Irish stores, it is a bit pricey, especially if you're used to buying high-street lipsticks [like me!]. I definitely think it's worth the money- even after eating and drinking it was still on for hours later. It's so pigmented and without doubt a perfect shade for Autumn! I think I've been reopened to the world of higher-end makeup. Time to get saving!

Hey everyone,
As I'm sure you all know by now, I was recently a finalist for 'Best Youth Blog' in the Blog Awards Ireland. I still can't get over the fact that I got so far! Although I didn't win this year, I had an amazing time at the event in the beautiful Osprey Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare. It was an honour to be there!
My outfit;

Clutch- Vintage
[apologies for the bad quality, the lighting wasn't the best!]
I was quite nervous about attending as this was by far the biggest blogger event I've been to. We were to be seated at tables of 10 for the dinner, and I hadn't a clue who myself and my mam would sit with! Luckily, the lovely Megan from Blondes Love Cupcakes tweeted me before hand, so my mind was to put at ease. It was crazy, being surrounded by so many bloggers! There was without a doubt around 200 people there. Finally- a socially acceptable place to tweet at a dinner table. It was actually quite funny, seeing the amount of people taping away on their phones. It was also great to have another blogger around the same age as me at the table, Shannon from Paisean le hAghaidh Faisin. We were also joined by Rebecca of Bec Boop Fashionista World, who was there to support her fiancé! I adore making new blogger friends, and everyone at my table got on really well. We were by far the loudest, shouting for each other when our names appeared on the screen!

The dinner was delicious [especially dessert- yum!]. There was great entertainment and a hilarious host, too. The hotel itself was fab, definitely one of the nicest I've been in. Not only did we have the coolest shower and bath, but the leisure centre was so luxurious too. I'd love to stay there again!
All in all, I had a great evening, regardless of not winning. I'd love to attend next year, even if my blog isn't nominated again!

In other news, The Blog Awards Ireland ceremony/final is this Saturday. I can't contain my excitement! As the event gets nearer however, I am starting to feel a tad nervous.. The build up to big events always gets my nerves going, for some reason. I've got my outfit all ready, and I'll be taking plenty of pictures of the event, which of course I'll share with you all!
